BioPath@ TMC is a unique program that connects Houston high school students to rewarding biomanufacturing careers. Through partnerships between TMC and bio-education organizations, this first-ever initiative exposes students to potential life science career paths through hands-on experiences, career simulations, mentorship, and paid internships.
The Goal?
To build a diverse, skilled workforce to help meet the growing demand for biomanufacturing professionals, while aiding underserved youth and driving local economic growth.

Biomanufacturing jobs are projected to grow 5% by 2032, with 10,600 new roles expected each year.

BioPath@TMC provides high school students with biomanufacturing exposure, education, internships, and mentorship, paving the way for stable, promising career as lab technicians. TMC’s partners include HISD, Learning Undefeated, which offers mobile STEM labs, and BridgeYear, which provides onsite career “test drives.”
