Startups from around the world join the accelerator program to start, build, and sustain relationships with our member institutions and corporate partners. Each company experiences a customized journey as they are embedded into a community of top-tier hospitals and seasoned mentors.  We help you navigate opportunities for clinical validation and deployment into the world’s largest medical marketplace – the Texas Medical Center.

Our program is tailored to support companies who have at least demonstrated proof of concept and are positioned for enterprise-level conversations. The TMC Innovation team collaborates with each medical device or digital health company through strategic introductions across the world’s largest medical complex. Startups that experience our accelerator expect success.

Accelerator Participation

Our Accelerator for health tech is one of many ways in which we engage with innovation and talent and bring it to the Houston community. Our priority is long-term alignment and partnership with all of the companies and founders we work with.

As a part of our larger, Texas Medical Center pipeline, the Accelerator has two main series of engagements:

  1. Bootcamp - Bootcamp is a two-week, larger community event in which a subgroup of Accelerator applicants will be invited to attend and participate. Founders of the companies will be required to participate in person. Participation in Bootcamp is a no-strings-attached experience with no fees, legal, or other financial obligations.
  2. Program - the program is made up of the final group of companies after all downselections have been made. It consists of 5 months of custom programming focused into one week each month. For that week each month, we require in-person participation from the founders. Signing a standard Warrant Agreement is mandatory for participation in the program.
